SiriusIM, Metallica was already well on it's way to being a big commercial success when their catalog consisted of KEA, RTL, MOP, and ...AJFA. The Black Album is the start of the "Commercialization" you're talking about, and you make it sound like the band was absolutely tiny prior to the release of TBA. They weren't. Even if you throw out all of the "Commercial" material, those first four albums are stronger than Megadeth's catalog. And I like Megadeth a lot. My point is that, if Metallica had continued releasing more and more albums staying true to the thrash sound of their first four records, they would still be much larger than Megadeth ever was. And once again, I'm not trying to bash Megadeth. If you don't like what I'm saying, I'd recommend you go - you know - post on the board for Megadeth. What a concept
